Intake Appointment: All our clients are required to conduct an intake appointment prior to accessing further services. Intake appointments are between 60 and 90 minutes long, and cost a flat rate of $190, which includes diagnostic formulation and a clinician’s review of records and written documentation in addition to the in-person or online meeting. Please see the Payment section below for details about payment.
Dyslexia Tutoring: Dyslexia tutoring is conducted by tutors trained in the use of the Barton Reading and Spelling System (an Orton-Gillingham method). We offer dyslexia tutoring for both adults and children who have a diagnosis of dyslexia (Specific Learning Disorder with impairment in reading). Tutoring will be at least two days a week and are 50-minute sessions charged at $75 a session billed monthly.
Math Tutoring: Math tutoring is conducted by tutors trained in the use of multi-sensory math instruction specialized for dyslexic students. Tutoring will be one day a week. Sessions are 50-minutes long and are charged at $85 a session, billed monthly.
Home School Consultations: We offer home school consultations and assistance with writing a PDP (Privately Developed Plan). Appointments will be with Geeta Glasser, our home school specialist. These are charged at $95 and are 50 minutes long.
Counseling: We offer counseling and therapy for ADHD, dyslexia, and their comorbid conditions. Counseling sessions are charged at $150 for a 52-minute session. Please see the Payment section below for details about payment.
Kindergarten Screening: Our kindergarten screening is conducted by Alison Craker, Licensed Professional Counselor. This is charged at $150 an hour and is typically $525 in total. This includes the screening assessments with the kindergartner, review of documents, mini feedback session, and mini report. This does not require an intake appointment prior to the screener.
Assessment: We offer assessments for dyslexia and their comorbid conditions (including ADHD, Anxiety, and Depression). Our assessment appointments are charged at $150 an hour, billed in 30-minute increments, with additional hours billed outside of the assessment session for scoring, interpretation, diagnostic formulation, and writing the report. Assessments require clinicians to spend considerable time both during and outside the session (selecting the tests, requesting records, reviewing records, test administration, consulting, scoring, interpreting, and writing up the results in a report). Because some of the work is conducted prior to the scheduled assessment session, clients are charged a $500 retainer fee at the time of scheduling. This fee covers expenses incurred before the assessment session and is applied to the total assessment cost. Feedback sessions (Results Meeting) are charged at a flat rate of $190, and last approximately 60-90 minutes. During the feedback session, you will receive a copy of the report, and your clinician will review the results with you and answer your questions. Some families find it helpful to have a follow up appointment a few weeks to a few months after the feedback appointment. This service is billed at $75 per half-hour and typically is used for parents to ask follow-up questions regarding their child's diagnosis and next steps.
Parent/Child Education: We offer executive function training workshops as well as one-on one skills training in a therapy setting. Prices vary based on type of workshop. One-on-one training is billed at the counseling rate. Please see our Parent/Child Education page for more information on our workshops.
Educational In-services/Training: We offer a range of options for educational in-services. Please see our page on School In-Services for options and pricing.
Tutoring: Our tutoring sessions are billed differently than our other services. Tutoring invoices will be sent via email around the 20th of each month and are due on the 1st of the month. Payments can be made via the link on the invoice, or by check or automatic payments. We do not accept credit cards or HSA cards for these services, but we can provide a receipt if you wish to submit it to your HSA for reimbursement. Please check with your HSA to see if they cover academic tutoring. We do not guarantee your HSA will reimburse your tutoring expenses.
